Thursday April 11th at 7pm will be our Annual Genral Meeting when there will be a slide show on the Hopton History archives we have gathered so far. There will also be news on a proposed annual membership scheme and our constitution.

On Thursday May 9th we will be showing a series of  short films made by American students on American bomb groups based in Suffolk and Norfolk during World War 2.  These films cover Rougham, Knettishall, Horham and Thorpe Abbotts amongst others.

Thursday June 6th is the 80th anniversary of D-day so on Friday June 7th the Village Cinema is hoping to screen The Great Escaper, Glenda Jackson's last film. This is a true story based on a D-day veteran's determined journey to the 70th anniversary in France.

Then on Saturday June 8th the Hopton History Group is hosting a vintage tea dance in the Village Hall. More details to follow.

We do hope you are able  to support some, or all, of these events.
